Hyaluronate, also known as Hyaluronan and Hyaluronic Acid, is the latest of the glycosaminoglycans to be used orally as an equine joint supplement.  This class also includes Chondroitin Sulfate and Glucosamine.  Glucosamine is the precursor of Hyaluronate.

Benefits of Hyaluronate

It maintains the normal viscosity to joint fluid, thus cushioning them from friction.  Most recently, Hyaluronate has been given to horses and other species orally, with studies confirming it is absorbed and concentrated in the joints.

Boswellia, also known as Frankincense, has a very long history as a valued herb in many species, including horses, with well-documented antioxidant effects.

This combination equine joint nutraceutical with Hyaluronate and Boswellia is an excellent choice on its own, or as an add on for horses taking Glucosamine and Chondroitin.
